Teaching Assistant Eligibility
All graduate students and undergraduates age 21+ are welcome to support classes as teaching assistants and tutors.  Normally TAs facilitate class discussion, participate in classroom discussion, and help instructors prepare lectures and materials. Tutors assist CPEP students in writing & math, and various other subjects, and sometimes offer computer literacy assistance. For more specifics on the TA/Tutor application process, click here.

Questions regarding this opportunity may be directed to Betsye Violette, Associate Director of Student Services (erc87@cornell.edu).

Course Instructor Eligibility
If you are a doctoral student who has passed the ‘A’ exam, you are eligible to submit a proposal to teach your own course in the prisons. We are able to subsidize 20 doctoral candidates as instructors each semester. When considering this option, please contact Associate Director of Curriculum & Programming Keisha Slaughter (kss227@cornell.edu) to learn about the selection process and curricular needs. Faculty members and postdoctoral fellows are encouraged to volunteer as instructors and should contact Associate Director Keisha Slaughter (kss227) to discuss this possibility.
