Lucas Whaley graduated from SUNY Cortland with a BA in English in May, 2025.
He began his college education with CPEP at Auburn Correctional Facility, earning his associate degree, conferred by Cayuga Community College, and leaving prison with over 240 credits. Since then, he’s continued to push forward, earning his bachelor’s degree with plans to pursue his MFA.
