June 15: CPEP Alumni Reception and Event Kickoff at the Johnson Museum
In June 2022, CPEP hosted a commencement ceremony at Cornell’s Statler Hotel that also served as a CPEP alumni reunion. We vowed to host another reunion the following year. This event will serve as our first alumni-focused event of the weekend, at the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art (the Johnson Museum) at Cornell University. Join us for an evening of reunion, dinner, and a brief program featuring CPEP alumni, emceed by CPEP Alumnus Darryl Epps and also featuring NYS Assemblymember Anna Kelles.

June 16: Symposium on Baccalaureate Education in Prison
This one-day symposium is designed to inform Cornell’s consideration of a potential bachelor’s degree offering in prison. We will convene leaders from colleges and universities offering baccalaureate programs in prison, alumni of college-in-prison programs, and our friends and colleagues from the broader CPEP community. Presentations will be collected in symposium proceedings after the event.
All events with be hosted at the amphitheater on the first floor of the Statler Hotel at Cornell University. Refreshments and lunch provided.

June 17: Workshop on data-informed Higher Education in Prison and the Education Justice Tracker™
This Saturday morning meeting will consist in presentations and discussion of the Education Justice Tracker™ (EJT), a data scraping tool developed by Cornell University to assist higher education in prison (HEP) programs in better serving incarcerated students. The aim of these presentations will be to look at what is possible when HEP programs have better data, to optimize usage of the EJT, share applications of the program and compare results, and to contribute to a draft EJT user’s guide for future users.
