The Cornell Prison Education Program is a stand-alone unit at Cornell University – we are not a department in any particular college. Rather, we draw upon resources from across Cornell University: world-class faculty, facilities, teaching assistants, researchers and undergraduate volunteers as well as in-kind support and waived tuition/fees for our students. However, CPEP receives no direct financial support from the university for the operation of our program and services.  We are entirely funded by private gifts and grants.

Our direct and indirect costs, including compensation for teaching staff when needed, as well as all books, supplies, and all operating expenses are covered through the generous support of our donors and grantors.

We thank you for being part of the CPEP family and supporting the work we do.
